August 2023 Edition
From Our Pharmacy Team
There is expected to be a shortage of GLP -1 agonists, such as Dulaglutide, Semaglutide and Liraglutide until next Spring. These injections are used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes and can sometimes be started by a specialist weight management service for weight loss. Please do not panic if you are currently prescribed one of these injections. We are able to supply some injections, but patients who are at higher risk of diabetic complications will be prioritised during this time. We will not be initiating any injections during this supply shortage. We will be contacting all patients prescribed this medication for a review, but if you have any immediate concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us for advice.
August bank holiday
