Hormone replacement therapy prepayment prescription
Do you pay for NHS prescribed hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medicines 3 or more times in 12 months? If so, a HRT pre-payment certificate could save you money.
As you may know, each item on an NHS prescription usually costs £9.65. You can buy an HRT PPC for a one-off payment of £19.30 (the cost of two single items). To purchase a prepayment certificate, please go to NHS HRT prepayment certificate.
Please note that, although the certificate covers most commonly prescribed HRT. Some items are not included. Further information regarding this can be found on the before mentioned NHSBSA website.
Mental Health Practitioner
Introducing Enakone Oveh who is our new mental health practitioner.
Her role has recently been introduced to Southwark. Enakome sees patients on a referral basis. She can see patients post assessment or diagnosis of mental health conditions and focuses
on assessment/review/motoring e.g. patients that are falling between services such as counselling services or community mental health teams with certain exclusions.

PCN Social Prescriber: Natalie
Natalie’s role as social prescribing link worker is to assist patients with their non medical needs. Natalie connects people to activities, mental health activities, employment support, social services, counselling support, benefit support and more in the community to meet the practical, social, and emotional needs that affect that affect the patients health and wellbeing
First Contact Physio
This scheme is an enhanced service that allows for patients with new injuries such as back pain, shoulder pain or knee pain to see a physiotherapist for an assessment and to confirm a diagnosis without having to wait to speak to the GP. The team can give expert advice on how to effectively manage your condition in order to help you recover quicker and can refer you on to the specialist team if needed.
